first off, you look beautiful! once you get the dress in the right length i think the look will certainly make more sense to you and maybe you'll like the way it falls better. since you're a shorty, it's probably throwing off your vision of your proportions and making you think it looks off when it doesn't. in the right length, the a-line wont look so severe and if it does, you can easily have some of the underlayers removed. don't worry!
I think it looks great on you. I am also considering this dress I tryed this on in Ivory/Ivory. I cant find it on champagne/Ivory. I which I think is what I would want. I loved the dress. The only problem is I felt a bit ichy in the dress. Has anybody else noticed this?
I think this dress is amazing on you! You look like you have the perfect shape for the dress!
as far as the dress coming in, I ordered my Mori Lee the beginning of July, was told it was not going to be in until February, and it was in the end of October! Hopefully yours comes in early as well! Good luck! You look great!

Hey Bees!
I ordered my Mori Lee 1612 Champagne/Ivory lace dress about a month ago. They told me it takes 6-9 months to come in. I am REALLY hoping it wont be much longer than 7 months. My wedding is in August.
HOWEVER.
I am PANICKING about the shape/silhouette of it. I had the image in mind of a trumpet/mermaid dress the entire time and i always strive to be different. Somehow i ended up buying this dress. I tried on over 30, and i did love this one the most. I absolutely love the color, the sash with the flower and feather, the detailing and sweetheart neckline, along with the button back. But i keep dreading how "traditional" it is. =[
(My bridesmaids are in Lela Rose LX135 with the "rose" color, and groomsmen in Navy suits. Going for a vintage meets modern shabby chic theme. The picture i have had in mind is sophicasted, romantic, laid back and just relaxed. AH. but this is stress!)
Here are some pictures from the sample i tried on. I am only 5'2 and this dress was the longest, at 61 inches. The lady told me that because it is so long, it looks heavier and makes it look frumpier.
I was wondering if any of you who have gotten this dress in the past, were you able to take out some of the layers undearneath?! Or anyone who knows anything about alterations, do you think i may be able to somehow change the silhouette of the incredibly wide A line at all?!
