I’m flying out in a couple of weeks for my SIL’s engagement party and while there (along with a couple other bridesmaids) we’re doing dress shopping. She knows she wants lace/fitted. I wore a lace Allure dress, so I know the price range they fall into. She liked my dress and wants something similar (not identical obviously, but the lace, more fitted, etc).
I suggested we start looking at Allure, but that Mori Lee might be a good option to look at too. I’m curious to know from Bees who tried them on or bought them, what is the price range of Mori Lee?
Origionally she mentioned wanting to stay under $1,000 – but that’s just totally unreasonable unless she wants to shop at David’s Brial. She did a quick trip with her mom to DB, and of course had a terrible expereince and didn’t like anything she saw but went mostly to get an idea of the kind of dress she likes.

lots of mori lee dresses are under 1,000 , its not unreasonable price range in my opinion .

I had two Mori Lee dresses that I wound up falling in Love with- both were lace, one was $900 and the one I wound up picking was only $600

I tried on a non lace mori lee dress that was $600. I think the bulk of their stuff is under 1500 so she may find something she loves.

I tried on a lace, fitted Mori Lee (1901) and the price was quoted at $900. Totally doable.

@starfish0116: My Mori Lee (which is all lace) was $950, and I love it. The quality, the fit, and the price!!

The Mori Lee I love is $1,700 + tax, so $1,800 … Plus alterations.
mine has tons of beading, but her dresses can get pricey!

@starfish0116: I thought the EXACT same thing about my budget ( I want to stick around $1000 – under if possible) and thought DB was the only place I would find that. I went there and found a dress I thought I would have to settle on becauseof my budget. Then I went to another store just to see and found a Mori Lee (5106) that was only $775 (the dress I kind of liked at DB was $900). They seem to have LOTS of dresses within that price range so tell her to ask for some of them! They are gorgeous too 🙂

My Mori Lee was probably at the top of the Mori Lee range, but it was under 2,000. Of course, it had lace appliques and tons of beading and crystals, so it was definately more intricate:

Well, I am in Europe, I paid like 1800 Euros for my lace 1862 dress. I know that you could get the same dress in the US for just around $1000.

Thanks all! That’s great o hear! I think it’s definitely worth her checking them out. When she mentioned lace and wanting to stay under 1k I got worried for her. She is totally new to all things wedding (where as I’m a wedding photographer and recent bride) and has no clue where to start or even how to go about searching for dresses/designers outside of what she sees on pintrest.

Mori Lee’s work is beautiful.
The one I purchased is from her couture line – angelina faccenda so it was on the pricier side – $1700 to be exact.
Check out this site it gives you prices for her dresses. Of course expect different prices depending on the salon you go to…..
MoriLee 1901 – $900 (Lace Applique)
Mori Lee 1918 – $890
There’s tons more but these are just two examples from the website.
Good Luck and have fun!
