That sounds so cute! I had never thought of the idea of theming the day AFTER brunch. My goodness that seems like al ot of work ... could you ask if your FMIL wants to plan it? or maybe your bridesmaids? or some of your aunts? It sounds like an awesome idea, but another thing to add on your plate that you def do not want to be worrying about!!
Wish I had some help but I don't know much about South Africa!
What a great idea to play off of your honeymoon destination!
I'm not sure about food at all (sorry!) but you could use a lot of wooden serving pieces and organic materials like linen or woven grass. Use muted colors of green and khaki for a safari feel, or go really bright and bold with African prints. Obviously you could incorporate animal print in some way but I think it depends how "themey" you want it to be.
Good Luck!
I don't think that you need to make it really fancy. At our day after brunch. we basically ordered a bunch of trays of food (fruit, veggies, cheese, meat, baking) and we sat around in my parent's backyard for a couple of hours.
Are there any African caterers around? For getting someone to cater your event would make life a lot easier! Then stick with a simple colour scheme (South African flag, maybe?) but don't do anything over the top. That's what the wedding is for!
Good luck!

My FMIL suggested a morning-after brunch for guests that are staying overnight in the city. I LOVE the idea and a friend of mine suggested a South-Africa themed brunch to send us off on our honeymoon (in South Africa.)
