My grandmother is hosting a brunch the morning after the wedding. My fiance and I will not be attending, so we can’t use any of those cute “before they go” poems!
Any suggestions on how to word the invitation? I am going to put the invitation in the out of town guest bags and hand deliver/mail them to local guests.

We kept it fairly simple:
Please join us for a post-wedding brunch to celebrate the newlyweds!
RSVP info (if any)

I would say something like “You are invited to join X family for a Sunday brunch as X and Y jet off for Z”

I wouldn’t mention anything about newleyweds/bride & groom/etc:
Mrs. Gma will be hosting a Sunday brunch at PLACE from TIME to TIME. Please stop by for some warm food and conversation before you head home.

@BooRadley: +1 If I saw something about the newlyweds, I’d expect you would be there.

i agree that we shouldnt mention the newlyweds at all
i think well stick with a “before you go” type thing!
