Morning of attire – what are you and your party wearing?

On my way to my parents’ house, I wore a rhinestone “Bride” tank top. When we actually started getting ready with hair and makeup, I put on a white terry cloth swim cover up, and my bridesmaids each got one in black. (Now, it was the middle of July when I got married so it was weather appropriate at the time.) It was strapless, so it just slid off when we needed to change into our dresses.

BurlapnLace:  I had custom airbrush tanks done for me & my girls. I can’t wait to give them to the ladies! I spent $10 a person. I’ll take a picture so you can see.

I bought satin robes for my ladies. Each robe was different because I mixed and matched them in the year leading up to the wedding. I was able to pick them up for $20 or less from JC Penny, Kohls, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. I really wanted a plum pretty sugar robe, but they didn’t make them for plus size women. How lame.

i wore sweatpants and a zip down shortsleeve sweatshirt (it was a cute lounge outfit, i’ve owned for a few years).  my girls came in their own stuff, whatever they were comfortable in.

my getting ready pictures are not any less cute because we didn’t have matching outfits.

I have satin robes for myself and my girls, but I’ll probably wear a tank top and shorts until its time for pictures.  Robes were around $20 each, got them from Kohl’s on sale.

ruby26: love those! I’m not a robe girl, but those are cute and practical.

Sorry these pictures aren’t great but you can get the idea. I bought them on Etsy. Someone was trying to raise money for their mission trip.

The numbers on the back are just each girls favorite number

BurlapnLace:  Exactly. I was in MOH’s bedroom a few months ago, and her robe was hanging on the back of her bedroom door. It made me smile to know that she liked it enough to wear it again, and gets regular use out of it.

lovekiss:  I know lots of people are against the robes, but I love them! I would totally wear them again!

BurlapnLace:  I think I’m going to do something similar. Wear one of my FIs button down shirts and track pants. We’re getting married in the winter, so it’ll be chilly out, I thin that’ll be most comfortable for going to the salon and whatnot.

I wanted to do robes, but they’re pretty expensive when it’s all added up, and I’ve already spent a lot of money. So I’m think if I do anything it’ll be plaid button downs for everyone… maybe bedazzle initials on the front pocket or something I can DIY.
