i HATE that! i wash my jeans a lot less frequently than i probably should to avoid that feeling.
@kitzy: ME too! I'm actually embarassed to admit how infrequently I wash my jeans...I only washed this pair because my friend spilled wax on them :(
Ugh, I just washed a couple of pairs of jeans this morning and I usually don't even put them in the dryer anymore until the end. I let them dry flat then when they're dry like that, I put them in the dryer to make them feel a little less stiff. I'm really not looking forward to putting them on though because I agree, I hate that.
Haha, I thought it was just me that the instant pants shrinker happened to! Ugh, I HATE that! Especially skinny jeans - I have to dance in them to get them zipped up, and then I feel like a beached whale until they start to loosen.
My morning vent - - I have to cram a lot of work in today and tomorrow, because I am off for the next two weeks! I also have to leave early today to pick up our marriage license...not really a vent, but I have to cram even more now.
I also agree...that's the worst.
My morning vent is about the snow that we are getting right now!! I'm all for a white Christmas, but FI and I have to drive 7 hours to our parents tonight and it is supposed to snow the.whole.way. BOO.
@Lindsay12.31.2010: But woo hoo! You're SO close to your wedding! How exciting :) I remember the last few days right before mine being crazy, and yours must be even more so with all the holiday stuff.
@peaches1038: I'm a little bit jealous--we've only had a few flurries. I would love some nice snow...but only if it's enough for a snow day from work :)
@mandb122: Hmm interesting method of putting them in the dryer after they're dry! I'll have to try that.
I hate that too!
I also hate that I had to be at work super early and didn't have time to have coffee at home. So I came to work to have some and someone used my bottle of creamer!!!!!!! WTF!?
@hilsy85: They'll still be a bit smaller than before the wash of course but I found they won't suffer any permanent shrinking and won't be a lot smaller like they are when in the dryer the whole time.
And I agree about the snow, we have a chance Saturday and Sunday and I'm hoping so much that it snows on Christmas for once here (I wouldn't get off of work even if it was 15 inches or I'd be hoping for it tonight so I could be off tomorrow).
I hate the jeans thing! I actually have a pair that is skin tight when they come out of the dryer, but even after one day's wear, they are so loose I can literally pull them off without unbuttoning or unzipping them. What's up with that?
@hilsy85: OMG...I had this issue this morning too...But I know it was the dryer because right now they feel pretty good...unless my fat a$$ stretched the hell out of them! Lol...
@hilsy85 - Thanks! We are managing pretty well so far :-) We are doing Christmas tomorrow with his family, and then with mine on Saturday. Hopefully Sunday I can get more wedding stuff done. My mom and sister will be up on Wednesday to help with all the last minute stuff, thankfully. Wednesday is my bachelorette party and FI's bachelor party, Thursday is the rehearsal, and Friday is the big day and all the planning is over! Can't wait for that! Haha! I start my master's program in June, so a few months of peace will be great!
@kitzy: you are not alone!!
@Lindsay12.31.2010: yeahhhhhh at least the last thing being crammed in is awesome.
my vent this morning is the person that insisted on driving in the left lane at .. 55mph and not move over ... made me late for work. i'm sure that it had nothing to do with the fact that i left my house a little late, but still ... i could have made that time UP I swear!
@EleanorRigby, @stephinPA: luckily my jeans are starting to stretch out now to, at least to the point where I don't feel like a sausage in casing :) And @EleanorRigby, I hate that too! I think it mostly happens with jeans that have stretch in them. It's like it overcompensates by being too tight at first by stretching out waaay too much.
@Miss Tattoo: Ugh, hate it when co-workers steal my food items! Do you label your stuff or does that not work in your office?
Dryer jeans are the WORST. I also don't wash my jeans until it becomes "necessary." Why feel like a gigantic fatass if not absolutely necessary?
@lezlers: dittooo...for me, "necessary" basically means "once something is spilled on them" :)
I think I may be buying my jeans too big. I love how they fit when they come out of the drier...but HATE how loose and baggy they are by the end of the day.
Wooo hooo! I may be a size smaller than I realized!
has anyone seen the commercial for the pajama jeans!! they are made from pajama material but look just like real jeans! its crazy. you can wear them everywhere they are not pajamas they are just made to feel like it...,i was like are u serious? id have to see them in person to believe they really look good.
@hzleys100: I'm skeptical too...but if they really did look like jeans? I'd be all over that. I'd live in pajama pants if I could get away with it.
no they look like real jeans in the commercial like boot cut and everything. they look so comfy!https://www.pajamajeans.com/flare/next heres the page to check them out!
@hilsy85
yeah, they're skinny jeans... definitely more stretch to them, but it is annoying!
@Lindsay12.31.2010: I know exactly what you mean about "dancing around" so they zipper. I do that all the time and FI think's I am crazy.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I like how my jeans fit better when they're freshly washed. They're too big once they've be worn for a while.
haha! I wore freshly washed jeans to work yesterday and all i could think of was "holy muffin top!" all day. By 4pm they were stretched out comfortably but dang, not cool.
I wash my jeans very, very, very infrequently. Oh well!
lol Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't wash jeans as much as I should. I usually do a sniff test and if they don't make me gag, then we're good to go!
My morning vent: I have to see FMIL tomorrow. Here's hoping for a sh** ton of snow and ice so we can't go!!
@LetsGoPens - My favorite is the hula hoop motion. FI always asks if it is a hula hoop kind of day, LOL!
same here, LOL. you're not alone!
my morning vent is that i still feel like crap, and i wish the military doctors wouldn't write it off as just allergies, espically when they know i have a low blood count! (and having two periods a month)
Haha I'm so with you @hilsy85!! I hate the feeling of newly washed jeans in the morning!
Jeans are actually designed to not be washed after every wear. Denim is known as a memory fabric. That's why they always look awesome after a wear or two...or 12. I don't wash my jeans unless they come in contact with something I'm allergic to or are visibly dirty.
@mszebra: Yess that's all the proof I need to continue with my infrequent washings :)

One of my least favorite things in the morning is pulling on a pair of jeans that has JUST been washed/dried. Way to make me feel like I gained 10 pounds overnight!
They should make jean-stretchers, the way they make shoe stretchers...
Anyone else have a morning vent?
