OMG, I love it!  Great ideas Shavri & Selene.  It would be awesome to care the theme through and add a henna party as part of your wedding shower!!  Even if you don’t want henna on your hands, get it on your feet and you can sort of hid it.  Have your photographer get some great pics of you barefoot in your dress with the henna, and maybe with your shoes too.

Side note, don’t get the henna too far in advance, or the pattern won’t be as vibrant!!

Good Luck

For bride and bridesmaid dresses, wear saris and lehengas such as

Serve an Indian buffet as dinner. It’s not Moroccan but they do utilize the same colors and decor styles, and Indian food is much more familiar than Moroccan food.

We are doing a “moroccan/arabian” theme wedding, our colors are purple/gold/fushcia, we are using lanterns as centerpieces and lots of jewel tone votive candles on the tables. Our tables will be covered in purple satin, chair covers will be alternating god and fushcia satin, fuschia napkins and satin table squares will be bunched under the lanterns. These jewel tone colors looks so nice together. We are also doing pink and purple uplighting on the walls. Our hotel is preparing a dinner buffet of middle eastern food and we will also have some traditonal drummers for the bride/groom entrance to ballroom.
