I love Cole Haan Nike Airs. They are seriously the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and I wear heels every day. They are worth the investment and they're having some good sales now!
These aren't exactly sandals, but they're metallic: http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?productId=227444&categoryId=316113&productGroup=258700
These could be cute: http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?productId=239048&categoryId=316113&productGroup=239046
Good luck!
I just ordered these. "Prissy" by Naturalizer. They got good reviews, but I have yet to try them on. They come in silver and gold.
The Cole Haan Nike Airs are totally worth the money. For metallic, I think these are cool:

I don't have those particular ones (I have the Air Seana Ballet Flat) but I love the CH ones I have. They really do have great foot support!

I bought a pair of their shoes that have Dr. Scholls built in the heel.
Also Dr. Scholls makes shoes, and I saw some cute ones on their site.
Try one the comfy brands - Naturalizer, mootsi tootsies, etc. I also have a pair of nine wests that feel like slippers and a pair from (believe it or not) Bass, that are so cute, so comfy, and I've been wearing them for a decade. (not bad for a $30 investment!)
@Ferris Wheel: I have a pair of those in gold and they are very comfy. I wear them to work, so like nine hours solid and no problems.
Have you considered any Nina shoes? They come in gold or silver satin, so not metal, metal. But surprisingly comfy and almost all under $100.
I also really liked my Jimmy Choo's (ceremony, 3 1/2") and Bruno Magli's (reception, 1 1/2") that I wore at my wedding...but both significantly more expensive.

I loved BCBGirls when I needed to wear heels for work. These are still my go to shoes when I want high heels I can keep on my feet. I usually need to go up 1/2 a size but cna keep them on for a whole day.
Nice to hear some reviews on the Cole Haans, I've tried them on but was a bit skeptical about the actual comfort after long wear.
if you want to splurge manolo blahnik - hands down the most comfy heels i have ever owned and i have horrible feet! sergio rossi is also good.
i also have a pair of nicole miller shoes i got on sale at filenes that are amazingly comfy. they were not too bad pricewise
generally with heels i have noticed for me that the better quality the shoes, the more comfortable they are for me. i wear birkenstocks most days though but when i need or want to wear heels, this is usually the case but not always
also foot petals or pads under the ball of the foot of my heeled shoes - all of them, cheap, expensive, no matter what.
My friend got married a couple of years ago. I noticed that she kept her heels on all night long and did lots of dancing, even sang and danced to her husband (a performer by trade). Yet many of the other girls had taken off their shoes switching to flip-flops or barefeet. I asked what her secret was and she said ballroom dancing shoes are the only way to go, since they are designed for that kind of stuff. They can be a little bit more money, but I think that's what I'll be going with this April at my wedding. I think it would be worth it since they are well made, and look nice.

I am looking to invest in a great pair of comfortable metallic sandal shoe. I am sick of my feet killing at weddings and other events!
What is the most comfortable brand of dress shoes? Is it worth it?
Thanks!
