Stop answering her calls and conveniently make yourself unavailable.
I would just say dont let yourself get involved in the drama. Dont deal with her at least not as much. Only take her calls maybe once a week or so. You dont need her to be that involved with your wedding planning or in your day to day business.
Thats a bit much! I would go insane. My mother in law said she would be paying for our cake (wedding happend in May) and guest what?? She never paid for it!!!! I am still sooo mad!
@RahlyRah: Wow! I agree with PP's. Her involvement is a little over the top. I think your best bet is to make yourself unavailable as much as possible. Maybe you can have your FI talk to her.

Does anyone else have a crazy mother-in-law to be? My mother in law is totally trying to take over our wedding. She throws temper tantrums about silly things such as me not liking the same cake topper as her. She is fuming that I refuse to have a Catholic ceremony (I am not Catholic). She is insanely jealous of my own mother. To make things worse, she calls me 2-7 times a DAY about wedding stuff. She is driving me crazy to the point that I cannot even enjoy planning my own wedding. She has 2 daughters of her own and I am my mom's only girl. I want to include her but I want most of the planning and bonding time with my own mother (who is not at all imposing). Has anyone else had to deal with the mother-in-law from hell???? HELP!
