    I need help, bees!

I have asked my mom what type of outfit she wants to wear. She said only a dress...no two pieces. I would like for the color to be bronze or gold..something in that family. Do you have any suggestions. Pictures would be greatly appreciated!

My mom got hers as a bridesmaids dress from David's Bridal...obviously there's lots of full length choices in the BM section, but here's a nice MOB dress as well:

What is your Mom's body type?  Any "problem areas" she'd like to hide?  Also, what length would she want -- would she be open to a shorter length, or does it have to be floor length?

I'd look at the Caterina collection by Jordan

    http://www.jordanfashions.com/ShowDressList.aspx?collectionid=2

or Jade and Jade Couture by Jasmine.

They both have some pretty nice MOB dresses.

Hotchild, I just printed off a dress that looks alot like that, but was gold. I actualyl like it for her.

Irish, my mom is a nie size. There is nothing really to hide. She is just very modest (despite being fairly young). Any length is fine...if at least to the knee. :)

@PrincessDiva: In person, that dress is more gold than champagne.  My mom tried it on.  It just wasn't a great fit for her.

Zippylef nailed it with the Jade line!!  I thought my mother's search for a dress was going to be the worst part of all!  My poor mother, though she means well, is soooo picky :)  I actually used to work at a bridal store and this was such a blessing!  I took her to the store that I used to work at and she tried on probably three dresses... but as soon as she put on this Jade gown... we all knew it was the one!!!  I'm not lying - I did a happy dance!  This is a one piece gown that has sheer sleeves with enough embroidery that would cover a modest mom, but it is still very flattering on all body types - no matter the age! they have a lot of different colors!

    I hope this helps!!

All of these are from Nordstroms.  It was a bit tricky because most of the MOB dresses have boleros and you said your Mom didn't want to wear a 2 piece dress:

Thanks, hotchild..we'll definitely go try it on.

Jess, bk. I will look for a supplier of these Jasmine dresses and see if she likes it.

Irish, I really like hte last one, but not sure how she would feel about her shoulders being out. I saw one like this in a book and liked it, but wasn't sure.

    Thanks, Zippy!

    Keep 'em coming!

Would you consider a dark bronze or an espresso dress?

    @jessbk

Love that one!  Very similar to the one I bought for my daughter's wedding last year!

I had a hard time finding one I liked until I found www.keepmeinstitches.biz, cause I

    am a petite/plus size.  I had a couple of back-up gowns cause I was nervous and I

didn't know when my daughter and SIL were going to get married-and then had just 2

months to order.  Still needed to take it to someone for alterations for me-of course,

but it was wonderfully made and made me feel great!  And I had confidence in the

on-line company cause they have a store "Rowan's Bridal".  Photographer/friend said

I should wear that gown Everywhere!! haha
