BHLDN has some. Or why not just get her a bridesmaids dress?

Try Von Maur, macys, or Bloomingdales

Have you looked and regular dresses at the mall? Like banana republic  or even Nordstrom or macys?

The idea that the Mother of the Bride dress is some sort of special entity always boggles me.  Why not just tell her if there are any colours you would like/not like her to wear, and what hemline, and let her go buy a dress she wants?

My mom got hers at Neimans. But yes I agree, most of the dresses marketed to MOBs are absolutely hideous.

@BrideToBe14:  Does she not usually wear dresses?  If she does, where does she buy them – and if not, she should probably start somewhere she normally shops.  Even if they don’t have something there, if they have good staff, they may be able to reccomend somewhere that will have the kind of thing she likes.

My wife got her bridesmaids dresses, and one she got for our Christmas party, at modcloth.com.  They’re younger styles, generally, but they have ones that could be appropriate, as well.

My mom got hers at Dillards. It wasn’t the typical MOB dress, more of an evening gown. Floor length black with cap sleeves, a sweatheart neckline, and some subtle bling puckering the straps of the cap sleeves. Very lovely and a good price

Adrianna Papell has some pretty ones. I’d just search the formal dresses on Macys, Nordstroms, zappos, etc. and avoid the “mother of the bride” category.
