    Hello Ladies,

I'm a mother in "Tight Squeeze" of a soon to be bride! She is marrting a wonderful man that is a soldier at for Ft.Campbell, TN. He has recently returned from Iraq, this was his third deployment. He has been deployed 3/12 years of the past five years! He said he understand's the meaning of family and being in love with some, because you never know when something bad will or can happen and never see or feel love again! When he got back he asked my daughter to marry him! I could not be happier to have a person like him joining my family! They set the ORIGINAL wedding date for August 6, 2011. Now everything has changed! The Army is now moving him to Arrlington, VA in August and now they have moved the wedding date to July 4th, 2011! Yes in a little over 2 weeks!!! In this short of time I'm seeking most everything! I have bought several things but, I still need several items! There colors are "Red, White and Blue" imagine that! She has her wedding dress and vail, (she needs the hoops skit that gose uner it, to make it puffy) flower girl dress (white), and the brides maids have their dresses (royal blue)! I need everything that goes with all the dresses! I have 15 white rectangle table clothes and I need about 10 more! I need table runners bad!!!! I have the chair covers (White) but I need the chair sashes or bows!! Something to go on the table!  I have some decor that is red, white and blue, but we need more! I'm doing all the cooking, no way I can afford to hire someone cater a wedding! I"m looking for any brides that have had there day and would like to see this bride to be and this wonderful soldier have the day that deserve! If you have anything Red, White, Blue or extra decor, table cloths, runners, lighting, ANYTHING please email me a picture and PRICE! I only have 14 days til this wedding is going to take place!! Please remember, I'm on a BUDGET, so I can't afford real Expensive items!!! Thanks for taking the time to read!!

I ordered cheap tablecloths, a cake stand and some ribbon from efavormart.com.  www.save-on-crafts.com is another great resources for decently priced items.

Can you be more specific wih what you need?

What is "everything that goes with the dresses" Shoes, earrings?

Flower girl dress you can probably get most discount clothing stores right now since its the right season.

Check you local Dollar Tree. They often have things you can use for decor.  Maybe instead of a whole table runner, use a placemat in the center to brighten it up.

Since you have so little time, ordering will be tough and expensive for quick shipping.

Try going to wal-mart or fabric store and buying large spools of wide ribbon and use that as a chair bow. Or maybe hang something from the back to spruce it up (like a silk flower, or lantern, or star- all stuff you can find at Dollar Stores)

@lefeymw: Thanks for the info. We have been to the Dollar Tree and bought some decor! We have also went to several yard sales! We just can't seem to find the rest of the stuff we need! Not sure what all goes with the dresses, I do know they are royal blue! We will keep looking around to see what we can find! Thanks for your help!

As for the food, what are you planning.

Making things you can freeze now and defrost later to serve will help a lot so its not all done the day of and before. Things like tortellini and pesto, just defrost heat and toss with cherry tomato halves. etc.

Also look into buying platters of food from local delis. They are often really reasonable and its easy to serve. Things like sandwiches, meat platters, salads of various types (green, macaroni, potato)

Hey, not sure if you saw my response on your other post, but here's what I wrote:

I know you said that your daughter needs a hoop skirt/ crinoline.. here is the site where I'm buying my crinoline, it's pretty reasonable:  http://www.dinodirect.com/wedding-apparel-accessories/

I will keep an eye out for anything else that may work for your daughter's wedding!!

    @kclardy:

Hi, I don't know what you are looking for, but RIGHT NOW DollarTree has red, white and blue items.  They have candles in red, and mirrors to place them on, or vases/bowls to put them in.  I would take a quick trip and look around.  I know another young woman here was thinking of doing something simple with those colors. You can get glass dollartree vases, how about getting some red flowers from Costco or Sam's club. Carnations are very inexpensive for your centerpieces, you can use them for bouquets and then set them in vases for the tables (double use!).  For blue you could get blue organza or satin sashes-or even a roll of blue tulle or ribbons. I would check efavormart.com  They have this lot of things in royal blue.

    http://www.efavormart.com/hugelotofassorteddecorations-royal.aspx

If you get that, you could use the circle tulle for favors.  If you have a printer you can make little tags for things-using clipart-and simple art supplies, like cardstock and ribbon.

I don't know what else when you say things for the bridesmaids.  You could go to paylessshoes and get shoes dyed to a color?  I would check if you have a Claire's for or fashionbug for jewelry and hair accessories.  Another resource for inexpensive wedding items, like caketoppers is www.smartyhadaparty.com

Did YOU find something to wear?  At Macy's or JC Penneys or Nordstroms?

I would either also check with your grocery store about a small cake to cut, and then either cupcakes or sheetcakes to cut.  Or if you have Costco it would be awesome for a Red Velvet cake, frozen appetizers and other foods.  I agree-choose something you can make ahead, throw in the oven and "go".  Let us know if you need more help!!!

I have this card box that I would be willing to donate to your daughter and future son in law.  I see you mentioned that the dresses will be royal blue, this card box is a darker blue than royal.  If you like it and think the color would work, I'll be happy to give it to you if you help cover some of the shipping.  I can send it right away.
