Without going into all the details, the mother of the bride, has decided she is not satisfied with the dress she ordered. A 60 percent deposit has been made (the dress is very expensive) She is willing to purchase another gown frim the same manufacturer from the same store. The contract does not allow such a change. The dress has not gone into production. Has anyone had such an experience and were you able to make such a switch? Please tell me the circumstances.

@momme: Why on earth would the mother of the bride be the one to make that decision?
(From the word “gown” I assumed it was the bride’s dress, not the MoB’s?)

Is this the bride’s gown, or the MOB’s gown?

It depends on the store’s policy, the manufacturer’s policy, and whether they’re willing/able to make changes. She’s going to need to talk to a manager at the store, I would imagine.

The mother wants to change her dress not the bride’s dress. Sorry if I was nit clear.
