I usually get her flowers. This year my daughter's school is selling flowers, and they have the stargazer lilly as a potted plant, which is the main flower in my bouquet and centerpieces! So I am getting one for me and her!!!
Well, I am hoping we have both families together for mother's day. However since my FMIL is the type that HAS to be the center of attention (long story), it may be different. My FFIL had knee surgery 2 weeks ago, so it may be a casual dinner.
We ususally get her flowers or a nice plant (last longer) as she loves that.
My mom enjoys getting chocolate :-)
I went to snapfish.com and made her a personalized calendar that starts with May ends with April of next year. Then I added pictures of me my fiance his sister and family pics. I also emailed everyone to get birthdays and anniversaries. And of course I made a huge bright picture on our wedding day coming up in June. Their calanders are really cute you can put pictures on the dates, so on my birthday I put a picture of me as a baby. I also added some dates from my side of the family so that it kinda fuses the two togther.
Also I got a necklace from snapfish fro my mom with my sister and I's photo on it. She is going to love it.
hopefully shes not reading... I'm going to try to get my lil brother to come over and we can make her breakfast

i got my mommy an amethyst gold cocktail ring so she can wear it on my wedding day. win win for both of us :)
My FMIL is diabetic , but like me, she loves her sweets. I've been working for a month to translate one of my grandmas chocolate cake recipes to sugar free. I'm also making it for the wedding just for her.
