we are taking both of our moms to a brunch at our wedding reception venue!
i'll be taking my mom to the spa the day before for a mother/daughter pamper session :)
and flowers of course are always a given!
I don't know if my idea could help you at all, but what I'm doing for my mom is taking my Grandma's old cookbook (the one she wrote her own recipes in), typing up every single recipe and photocopying the original recipe and then making her a new cookbook of all of my Grandma's goodies. Something personal for her that's taken me a long time to put together!
My whole family lives in California, so it's hard for me to do things from here. I have to be able to send it! :]
Good luck with your Mother's Day project! Maybe you can take one out to lunch and one out to dinner? Or a picnic would be nice?

I have a few ideas but really, not much =(.
For my MIL, I floated this idea by DH:
Crate and Barrel Composter or Uncommon Goods Composter
They're for your countertop and she BRIEFLY mentioned wanting to start composting. She also gardens...so..there's an option.
We'll actually be in Branson, MO, visiting my mom for Mother's Day. She lives 4.5 hours away from us and I really have no ideas for her. Maybe a Bath and Body Works gift certificate, a bottle of specialty pomegranate vinegar from a store nearby (mom LOVES pomegranate scents/flavors/tea/everything) and I'll probably bring home some Gooey Butter Cake but my mom is kinda tricky to shop for...i know she'd love designer sunglasses or something but I'd lke to keep it under $60 or so.

So, Mother's Day is rapidly approaching and my FI and I would like to do something really special this year to celebrate our mothers and all the amazing work they've put into our upcoming wedding. Unfortunately we have no ideas about how to make it a super special day. So I ask the hive: What are you doing for Mother's Day? Have you seen any amazing ideas out there?
