I have been thinking a lot about mother’s intuition lately–a lot of people say it’s a very real thing, and the majority of people I know were RIGHT about what they thought the sex of the baby would be! I’m so curious to know everyone elses’ experiences!

Nope I was wrong, I thought for sure I was having a girl, I so had this feeling. Yep I had a boy instead… so I don’t buy into you know what you are having.

Up until, like, the day before the ultrasound I was sure I was having a girl. It’s what I imagined myself having first and in my dreams, my baby was always a girl.

Darling Husband and I always pictured having a boy first and DH’s family was convinced of this as well. Mother-In-Law even gave us baby boy outfits when we first announced the pregnancy.
However, my initial gut feeling was girl. As we got closer to our anatomy scan, I wasn’t sure one way or the other, but it turned out LO is a girl.
ETA: baby hasn’t been born yet and we haven’t had another ultrasound since so you never know…

I was convinced we were having a boy from the beginning. Everyone else thought we were having a girl, except for a couple people.
I started to get confused a couple weeks or so before my ultrasound thinking it could be a girl, because I only had dreams of having a girl and because of everyone telling me it was a girl.
Turns out I should have trusted my instincts – we’re going to have a baby boy! 🙂

We decided not to find out what we’re having, partly because I believed I’d have some sort of gut feeling. Nope- nada. I have zero intuition. I have no idea what we’re having! I hope to find out verrrrrry soon though…I’ll be 39 weeks tomorrow and I’m ever more uncomfortable! Any day now would be fantastic, and it’s partly because I am sooo curious about whether we have a son or daughter.

Thanks everyone for your responses!!! This is so interesting! As of right now I don’t have a feeling either way, but it’s good to know that it probably doesn’t matter anyway! Ha!
@DaneLady: I hope you get to meet your LO soon!! 🙂 How exciting!

The heart rate told my mother that my brother was a girl, he was a boy. She was told that I was twins… I’m not. 😉

Well…I sort of wanted a boy. Everyone was convinced that we would have a boy but I had a strong feeling it was a girl. I had a dream while pregnant that my baby was a girl with dark hair and blue eyes. When we did the 3D gender scan, I told my husband that it was a girl. Sure enough, the tech saw the three lines and confirmed it.
My baby has blue eyes and was born with a head of dark hair. However, that hair has now lightened considerably.

Both of us thought girl from the start, and the anatomy scan said girl, too!
Hopefully it was correct, because we have LOTS of girl stuff now!

@DaneLady: so excited for you to find out! I was team green but thought I was having a girl – nope! My son was born March 10. The minute my husband said “it’s a boy” was the best!

It’s a 50:50 shot. People have a pretty good shot at being right (and feeling like “mother’s instinct” is justified/correct) and a pretty good shot at being wrong.

For my first daughter i was right….only because i had a dream about her..and she looks exactly like she did in my dream. my second daughter i was wrong..i seriously thought i was having a boy…obviously i was wrong i:-)…my mothers intuition is pretty strong now…i get these horrible feelings.like in the pit of my stomach and im usually right.

Nope, completely wrong! I was convinced it was a boy..and what a shocker at our 22 week scan when we were told girl!
