Hmm, does it have to have mother/daughter specific lyrics? What kind of music do they like?
My guy's dancing to "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. It's his mom's "theme song" for her kids.
@Mouse ... I think Mr. Bunny would like something country, probably. It wouldn't have to have mother/son specific lyrics.

Oh! I'm saving this, too. My mom needs one for my bro's wedding next month but she wants an upbeat/happy song because she doesn't want to cry more than she's already going to!
I need to figure out a song that is not going to weigh on the heart too much. My FI lost his brother and so his mom lost a son so I think this dance is going to be really hard for both so I need something kind of light-hearted. If anyone has any recommendations that would be great!
When I finally have children of my own, and if i Have a son the song Iwould choose is Godspeed by the dixie chicks...they wrote this song as a lullaby for their children. Everytime I hear it it makes me cry. You have to read all the lyrics but its beautiful.

Mr KE and FMIL are dancing to My Wish by Rascall Flatts. Very cute, and has a little bit of up tempo to keep things moving

I've always loved Still Fighting It by Ben Folds. And This Boy by James Morrison is perfect for a single mom situation.
I really liked Mrs. Cupcake's song (or should I say Mr. Cupcake). Loves Me like a Rock by Paul Simon. It's really upbeat, fun, and sweet ("My mama loves me, she loves me,
She get down on her knees and hug me, Like she loves me like a rock).

My husband and his mom danced to "Have I Told You Lately" by Van Morrison. His mom didn't help at all when he was looking for a song, so he just came up with that one about a week before the wedding!
