Serious deadline Tuesday and I am doing anything but! Procrastinating, watching tv, up and down for cups of tea I dont even really want and then staring blankly at the page. The longer I leave it the less I seem able to concentrate. I think I’m hoping for a miracle!

The sooner you settle down & get to work, the sooner you’ll be done with it. Then you can do something fun.

Yipeebee: If you’re still looking for suggestions… exercise! It doesn’t have to be anything too involved – you can even just get up and do a few star-jumps or push-ups or something. Just something to get your blood pumping and clear your head. Take it from someone who has a PhD thesis due in 27 days and is very familiar with fading concentration!
Also, when you are sitting there looking at a blank page, try not to think of it as not working, but rather as the first step in getting towards having a full page. Sometimes you’ve just got to go through the slow part first…
