(Closed) Motivate me – March brides (or anyone actually, I need it!)

I’m not sure how you lost your 17 pounds thus far, but congratulations! I lost 25 pounds over a year following a combination of myfitnesspal and weight watchers. I also did some form of exercise for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. Everything I did was sustainable over the long run. Meaning, I still loosely keep track of what I eat and still exercise — it’s a lifestyle change, not a diet πŸ™‚

That being said, you may have better or worse luck with exactly what I did, just because everyone is so different in how they gain/lose weight. Find what works for you. 

Set shorter, smaller goals (like lose 10 pounds by X date, or drop 1 pants size, etc.) — that should keep you motivated. I think there’s a Weddingbee group in MyFitnessPal and a number of ladies here that use it — you could try those groups for extra support.

Congrats on losing 17lbs so far!!! that is amazing!!! You can totally lose another 40 by January! Just eat healthy, dont starve yourself, and excercise! i lost 25 lbs in 2 months by doing just that! best of luck to you!!! you can do it girl!!!

@rangersbride:  guys are horribly mean that way! πŸ˜‰ My fiance and I both try to loosely keep track of calories. He can eat 1700-1800 while I try to hover around 1400-1500. It’s because he needs those extra calories, but I still wish I could eat the extra 300 with him!! Make sure your FI knows this is important to you; having his support will make a big difference. 

Also, I find that drinking loads and loads of water helps greatly! You’ve got a good motivator to lose the weight (wedding in March). Keep at it!

I think about if you can squeeze some grease out of ure food picture on ure bottom. Lol that discouraged me from eating lots of fast food. I like my fitnesspal, it breaks it down on a pie chart carbs, protein, and fats. Helps you figure out what’s in your food so you fan make better choices. I only eat one starch a day helps tons!!!!

@rangersbride:  My wedding is march 2013 too and I have about 20 pounds to lose!  Keep up the great work! And know that you are not alone:)
