Someone ripped off DH’s mirror YEARS ago, and we just left it off. It is not worth the expense, especially if you are that concerned about money.

this and much worse has happened to my car many times and people never stop. About 2 weeks before my wedding someone hit my bumper and ripped it off in my job’s parking lot. It was $900 to fix it. The parking lot is so large that cameras didnt catch it. Unfortunately it’s the downside to owning a vehicle. It really sucks!

@ohmariemarie:  yeah, it is illegal here too, but I would rather pay the price of a stupid ticket then the almost 1k they wanted to fix it. Nope. Looking out the windows will have to suffice for him!

What an ass hat! Sorry that happened to you. If it were me I would just pay for it on my own. I had someone in traffic almost hit me and caused me to swipe a barrel taking off mine. Cost me two hundred for a new one, to have it painted, and installed. Now that was a body guy that my dad sends a lot of business to so I usually get a pretty good deal, but it couldn’t of been too much more than that. I would call around and see what some of the body shops can do for you.

I had kind of a crappy car. It was nice and well taken care of, but it was starting to break down and be unreliable for my commute. We finally invested in a 2010 vehicle last year that was only driven for a little bit because it was a leased vehicle that had been turned in. It was (still is) beautiful, I love it, but the people at my school apparently don’t respect it! It’s like they see my car and say “look, nice car! gotta mess it up!” I seriously find so many dents and scrapes in it. I used to fret over it, but I’ve resigned to not even bothering with it until I graduate. It’s just a car after all!

Lane splitting is legal in Ca, but certain rules apply. That being said, being part of a hit and run is not… And I’m sorry:(

@ohmariemarie:  That sucks 🙁

Hopefully he got caught with a much more expensive ticket.
