@MrsRingor2011: If you're on a budget you could maybe try universities??
Club Del Monte at the Monterey Naval Postgraduate School may be a good option. It says that their meals start at $22, which is the best I've seen. I have been looking for venues in the bay for 400 and it has been hard.
What do you consider reasonable??
We would really like to keep it under 10k for everything wedding related. 5K would be best but I really dont think that is going to happen with our guest list. We found out that you can rent out buildings of the Monterey Fair Grounds which hold up to 1000 in some buildings for 900 for the whole day and then 8.00 per banquet table or 11 for circle tables and 1.00 each chair. So thats looking like a good possibility.

I need help with finding a decently priced reception site for 300 guests. I have tried Here Comes The Guide but everything seems so expensive for a vow renewal. We were married May 17, 2011 and want to get married in our Church. Any suggestions related to budget would be great. We are both in our 30s and living on a college budget since we both are in school right now.
