By spending the day doing our favorite things! 🙂
As many of you know, we had to unwillingly change our wedding date due to some…er…issues.
We changed our date from July 16 to August 13 back in March, and seeing the day ‘July 16’ gets me a little choked up.
Anywho, a lot of you ladies suggested that Fiance and I spend our ‘dead’ wedding day by doing something special. So we did!
We slept in, watched our favorite movies, went on a hike and made dinner together.
We even toasted to the day.
We’re very happy to be together, and to have each other, and we’re soooo excited to get married in a little over 3 weeks. But, part of us still are pretty sad that it didn’t happen yesterday.
RIP July 16…Hellllooooo August 13! You better be good to us! 🙂

there are reasons for everything..don’t always know what they are, but there is a reason you guys were meant to marry 8/13 instead of the other day we will not mention.

When I read the title of your post…I was prepared to feel bad…but it actually sounds like you guys had a beautiful day Aug 13th will be here before you know it!!

@goldengrlbride: & @misskittykakes..thanks ladies! Fiance and I are doing whatever we can to be optomistic.
The good thing is, is that we realized that we got a whole extra month to plan and save money…which has really paid off, literally!
August 13 will be here faster than we can even stand it, so I’ll use this time to appreciate the date change!

Think of it this way–if your wedding date had stayed July 16, your wedding would be over! Now you have a whole month left to look forward to it! Yay!

I can relate. Our original date was 11/11/11 and we had to change, and it is now 05/05/12. I am a little sad, but mostly relieved that we did this. This gives us a little more time to plan, plus now we can have a little honeymoon-our original date wouldn’t have worked with my FIs schedule, for more than 2 or 3 days off. Waiting an extra 6 months to be his Mrs might drive me a little crazy, but I think it will give us time to put together an even nicer wedding.
