My netflix queue has been torturing me lately… First, I watched Leap Year, which basically confirmed all of my worst fears about waiting. Unfortunately, I don’t think real life comes with hot Irish free-spirit waiting in the wings to save you from your waiting woes 🙂
Then I saw TiMER, a lil indie film that came out in 2009 and I must say it is the best cerebral rom-com I have seen in a long time. The basic concept is that there a device that can predict to the day when you will meet your soulmate and will even go off with an alarm when you first make eye contact with him. It is amazing to see how the removal of uncertainty from relationships changes romance, love, and dating over the course of the movie. AMAZING.
Bees who have seen TiMER– would you want to know?

I haven’t seen it but sounds interesting… I think I would want to know- but I would also want a crystal ball so I could know somethings about my life.

I watched the beginning of TiMER – such a cool idea for a movie! I really liked where it was going. Let’s just say I watched up until she went to the party for her brother’s “installation” or whatever they called it – talk about a waiting gals worst nightmare!
I watched Leap Year when I was still waiting, and I was SO GLAD my guy wasn’t watching it with me. I love Amy Adams though!

@dolphindoll: I wondered about “Leap Year” but didn’t see it. So it’s not good to watch with your SO? I thought maybe he would get the idea that if he doesn’t propose I’m going to run off with some Irish hottie
I’ll have to look up this “Timer” movie on my Netflix – Canadian netflix doesn’t have the same selection though. Is it a newer movie? Like would it be in the video store?

I liked the movie TIMER, but I wouldn’t want to know.

Timer sounds interesting – I’ll definitely check it out. I wouldn’t want to know though. I enjoyed the early part of my relationship when we both didn’t know where we were headed – it made things exciting!
I loved Leap Year though – mostly for the Irish hottie lol.

LOL I had the same problem with Leap Year–and the movie version of He’s Just Not That In To You. I identified with Jennifer Aniston’s character a lot.

I just watched TiMER last week!
It was really good, but definitely made me think! I watched it with my single roomie, and he said he DEFINITELY would get one. I don’t think I would at this point in my life and with BF.

@Taylor4: I identified with her character too – and I loved the end. It gave me hope!

@MademoiselleL: I rented it from Jumbo Video the other day haha, I don’t know if you have Jumbo in BC though so maybe I just sound crazy 😉
I really loved TiMER, it was a really neat concept. I don’t think I would want one, just incase mine wouldn’t have gone off when I met my current boyfriend 😉
