I believe you can put your new home address down in your registry! Then gifts bought off the registry will be sent there. :-)
Some people are going to bring their presents, no matter what you do. You can actually just return them for cash or credit, and then repurchase them in Washington when you arrive at your new home.

Hi there,
This may be posted elsewhere on the board, but I couldn't find it.
We are moving right after the wedding from Michigan to Washington. Obviously, we are trying to minimize the amount of things we lug across the country.
Can I ask my guests who will buy us gifts to send them directly to Washington? How can I do this? Should my mom or MOH tell people?
