I just found out that we have to move within the next 2 months ..problem is ..

    1. we weren't expecting too ..

    2. the money we were savin for photographers and videographers is going to be used for that ..

    3. and now i am worried that we won't find anything and that we  won't get a photo & video in time ?? I'm nervous ..worried ..i don't want to voice this to fiance , since i like to keep things together for him ..i'm usually the calm ,cool , collective one ..

So what do i do ?

Maybe you can opt for either the photographer or the videographer instead of both, depending on which is more important to you. goodluck!

I agree with sonipapdi. For me, I could care less about a videographer so that saves $ right there!

Also we moved with two months notice also -- across the country, mind you! I took a break from a lot of "planning" stuff and really concentrated on the move and got settled in. You still have quite a bit of time and worrying about both things will really stress you out. Keep in mind that you will be spending the rest of your lives together and you'll be spendin more time in your new home then just one day at a wedding.

    Hey brattkatt,

I'm also moving soon and the wedding is pretty soon so we have a lot on our plates!  I totally relate.  You have a lot of time and I agree with sonipapdi that if you have to choose services, put the $ towards the photographer and not videographer.  You can maybe even see if you can rent a camera and have peopel take turns doing movies with it at the wedding, that might be kinda fun.  But really, the pics are more important.

Do you have a wedding timeline?  If not, I suggest putting one together and then keeping the tasks pretty minimal for right now as you're packing and moving.  Then once you're settled in the new place you can dive right in!

    Good luck!

    So Glad!

I was going to suggest visiting a local college's Photography class or bulletin board...  many students try to build their portfolio by offering great prices.  You never know who you might find! Maybe you can still have photos and videos!

I agree with Querida.  My cousin is into videos.  So we had him videotape my brother's wedding so that he can use it for his resume.  I'll probably do the same.

I am in the same boat as you.  We have two houses and are trying to decide which one of us is selling or leasing our houses.  Right now I think he is moving in with me but regardless we will have the headache of moving one of us and getting the house set to show.

I'm trying to take one wedding item a week so that I don't get stressed out too much!

I am on the same boat (Like if the planning was not hard enough! ) , maybe you can look for cheaper photography options and have someone from your family in charge of a camera?
