So this is a big weekend for us. We are not moving, yet, but Mr. Fire is driving to a city 2 hours away to apply for a full time fire fighting job (yay!). I have a great amount of confidence that the job will work out for him. But…. it is two. hours. away. We will have only his dad and step-mom (who live about 25 min. away from the city we’d be moving to). We both grew up around our families and have always had tons of friends, sometimes more than I think we do. I have two siblings, a brother who is 19 and my precious 10 year old sister. I am so worried that if we do end up moving, I will not see them much anymore, and I will be the older sister that dissapeared. I do not want that. Not to mention, Mr. Fire has a younger brother who is 14. My parents live here and all of his family lives here and I feel like moving 2 hours away (I know, I know not that bad), I feel like it is another country!
Maybe I’m just blowing my concern out of proportion, but I am starting to freak out a little. Not only would there be a large distance between me and my family, but I would also be planning my wedding miles and miles away from any vendors, bridal stores, and venues AH!
So, now that I am done venting my stress and worries, I must say I am overly excited that Mr. Fire is applying and I am hoping he gets the job. There is also a very good school out there that I can transfer to so that I can continue with my life journey too.
Has anyone else run into bumps in the road like this? Did you or are you planning a wedding that is not destination, just a ways from where you live? Any advice on how to stay sain!??
