I was wondering if anyone has used the Mpix.com custom cover albums. I created an album with blurb.com and I love it. But, I was thinking about using mpix since they just offered custom covers too. I just didn’t know how the quality compared between the two.

Mrs. Onion used Mpix and had good things to say about it:
The Big Reaction!
I was really impressed with the quality of the photos I ordered from there, but have yet to try a book. Good luck!

Thanks Tiramisu! Yeah, I was very impressed with the quality of mpix compared to others I’d tried (kodakgallery, snapfish etc). The price is competitive and the quality was much better. And it arrived SO fast! I felt like I’d just ordered it and next thing I knew it was here.

I don’t know about other photobook makers, but I ordered a book from Mpix and all of the photos came back grainy. I emailed Mpix and they said its because of the different printing process for photobooks vs actual prints. I returned my book for a full refund and ordered the prints from Mpix. The prints came out great and I just put them in an album/scrapbook that I bought in an art store.
