Knapper08: I'm just seeing your post now, sorry for the delayed response. I used the e-surface and am very happy with the quality of the paper. It has a bit of a texture so you don't see fingerprints easily.

Edit: Do you know whether they allow for one photo to cover two pages?

I posted a while back to see if anyone had used Mpix.com for an assembled album and didn't get much of a response. I took the plunge and ordered one last week and am thrilled with the results so I thought I'd share.
The Mpix.com assembled album is a great option for someone who didn't get an album through their photographer and who has some page layout experience. Mpix doesn't offer templates for these, so that's where the experience comes in handy. The album itself arrives in a black box for storage. It has a gorgeous black leather cover (not pleather) and the pages are very thick and sturdy and lie completely flat when open. I couldn't be more happy with the book. Can't wait to get started on our wedding album! For pictures of the layout of our pages check out my blog.
