Just wanted to share with you all my latest project.  It's also posted on the DIY section as well as my blog. (more details here)

They're completely unnecessary, but way too cute to pass up.

Mr. and Mrs. Chair Signs : wedding DSC06157

I just used two wooden plaques I bought at Hobby Lobby, some acrylic paint, and a crackle medium.  Super quick and easy!  They'll hang from the back of our chairs with ribbon that needs to be attached.

Check out my blog for the full post!!

Ooh I love those. Part of me really wants "Mr" and "Mrs" signs but we won't be having a sit down dinner so there's really no point.

Oooooooooh I really like those, nice simple and classic looking. I have that on the DIY project list but it's rates super low. Seeing how easy yours were, maybe I can squeeze mine in.

Thanks guys!! I'm really happy with the way they turned out =]

@littlemissmoo....you could always make them anyways and then hang them up somewhere around the house.  I think I'm going to put ours in our bedroom afterwards hanging on each side of the bed.

@RAllise....if you take out the drying time, because you can do other stuff then, it probably only took me about 20 minutes to do these.

Ive been on such a mission for the crackle stuff - I know they have it at Michaels, but it's $20 ($10 with the coupon) - I guess I have to go that route (sorry couldnt see your blog from work, were blocked) Im sure they are fabulous - where did you find such cheap crackle paint? We dont have hobby lobby in Miami

    Thanks guys!

@alishadhs4 I actually free handed them, I guess I don't have any tips, it's just something I've always been good at.  You could try to make a stencil by printing out the letters and trimming around them maybe?

@Ms.Guava-Tini I bought it for maybe $3.00 at Hobby Lobby, it comes in a 4 oz bottle.  But I've also bought another brand at Walmart and it worked just as well.  At Walmart it was maybe $1.50 or so, and it came in the same size as all their other acrylic paints. (2 oz bottle)....Hope this helps!  I wouldn't get the fancy stuff because this works just fine.  You paint the bottom color, let it dry.  You paint the crackle stuff (clear) and let it dry.  Then whatever color you paint over top of it will crackle.

I always wanted to make some of those but didn't know what to do with them afterwards. What a great idea to put them in your bedroom, maybe I will have to make these! lol
