Weddingbee boards

So August 25 has come and gone and Im still vey much alive.  Our wedding day was extremely flawed, hardly anything occured the way I intended throughought the day, didnt get to paint my fingernails or toenails, was running about 35-45 minutes late all day long, had to do my hair in my car mirror, and somehow things still managed to work themselves out in the end!!  Seriously, it was one of the best days of my life.  In the end none of the things I stressed about matter.  We were surrounded by love and we have each other so everything is perfect. 

So much about that day didnt go as anticipated.  I mean, right down to the amount of guests that ACTUALLY showed up.  Honestly, I walked away from my wedding day with disappointment and in some cases, resentment.  I was not the uber happy bride we all read about.  Now that Ive had almost a month to process and decompress there are are many things I would seriously do differently when it comes right down to it.  Probably the biggest thing I would do differently is my wife and I would have done an incredibly intimate destination wedding with maybe 10 people.  Sad,but, true.  We've already confirmed that when we get ready to re-new our vows we are doing it that way.  Im not saying that my wedding was a disaster because that's not the case at all.  It was modern, fresh, and incredibly us!  The main problem I had was that because I was a DIY bride and my entire wedding party lived out of town, I overextended myself and wasnt able to enjoy my wedding day.  Noone but me knew how and where things were to be so It was on me to ensure things went as planned.  Even though I had a day of coordinator, she still needed me to confirm things.  I really wish I could have just woke up and literally hung out with my girls all day.  You live and you learn.  So if there are any other brides out there with upcoming nuptials, PLEASE DONT OVEREXTEND YOURSELVES!!! 

All in all things went beautifully.  Our cerremony was intimate, personal, and very special.  The aesthetic of the venue was spot on what I envisioned, the fashion was chic and very much ME!!  But, the best part of it all is that I got to marry my best friend.  So since I promised to share pics, here they are.
