I like it! I actually do think a table runner would look nice, sort of as a way of organizing the madness — that is, separating the “middle of the table” stuff from the actual plates. Maybe a nice bright blue one to match your blue flowers would bring things together? Haha do you have the skillz to add that to your Paint picture to see what it would look like?

PS — I totally used MS Paint to draw my tables as well. It was tragically bad. Tongue Out

Hahahaha OK the Paint image is awesome, if completely unintelligible. But based on your explanation I think it will look good.

    You’re amazing, haha.

I like this, and I agree that a runner might pull it together.

I also think a runner would pull things together more.  That one you just posted in the above link actually is really awesome!

Your Paint skills are hilarious by the way ;]

I would just check with the caterer that you are able to put the jam on the plates.  I couldn’t put favors on my plates because there would be a preplated salad there.  The caterer said the less courses that had to be delivered, the more smoothly things would go.

@bretonvirgniia:  you could always do a pale blue lace runner or burlap runner with a frayed edge to give it that rustic feel without being too formal.  I agree with other bees though, you need something to frame all the elements you have going on.  I think what you have will look really nice together in real life.

@bretonvirgniia:  That blue burlap looks really good! Another possible option would be to look for one that is very, very thin — almost sheer, like tissue-paper thin. I don’t know if such a thing exists, but I can picture that it would subtly tie the colors together without looking too formal.

Oh, and it turns out I actually designed my table in PowerPoint, not Paint. Haha some seriously high-class shite over here!
