Well we had our anatomy scan today. During the whole thing the baby had its legs crossed.. baby didnt wanna show us the goods. Then the ultrasound tech had me do some rolling and put me in a different position and we got to see the goods… I was really hoping for a girl.. like super bad… and when we looked, it was clearly a boy. She said she thinks its 98% a boy. I cried the whole way home. This might take a while to sink in. Everyone is so excited for a boy.. They all wanted a boy except for me.. 🙂 well they got their wish.
Hopefully it settles in sooner then later…

Honestly boys are cute! I always had my heart set on a girl when I plan to have a baby but I have been leaning towards boys now cause so many of my friends have boys and they are just adorable. Also boys will always love there moms girls go through a stage where they hate there moms and sometimes the closeness never comes back Boys are always mommas boys no matter the age!!

I wanted a girl. With both of my children I wanted a girl. I have 2 boys…lol. I was more crushed the first time. I have a stepdaughter so I have my “girl”. Honestly give it a few days and then start looking at all the adorable boy clothes and start getting excited about bringing him home and all the cool toys boys get to play with that mom gets to try out first 😉

A healthy baby of either gender is something to be grateful for. You’ll get used to the idea of a boy soon enough, and then I’m sure you’ll be excited.
Little boys are super fun! I have a nephew who is awesome.

You will LOVE having a little mommas boy 🙂 When I was pregnant with DS I REALLY wanted a girl but I am so glad I have my handsome little man. DS is 3.5 now and I just love him to pieces. Now with LO #2 on the way I am hoping for another boy we are team green but I have a really strong gut feeling I’m growing a little man inside of me 🙂

Congratulations! I completely understand about wanting a girl, I’m not pregnant but I definitely want a girl lol. My sister has a boy and she loves that boy so much! She has a girl also and told me that boys are easier in every way, having a girl, for her, seems like a lot more work.

@braz, my FI already has 4 children. 2 older boys and the 2 youngest are girls who think they are boys. So no girlyness there.
I am guessing this willl be my only child because for him to have 5 children is a lot. Sometimes I feel bad because he already has 4. 6 would be over the top, even tho his 4 do not live with us full time. We will see.
I know I will love him just as much as I would if he was a girl. I was really looking forward to the girlie ness of a girl. His 2 girls want to be boys. Girls arent cool in their book. 🙂

I know the feeling! I’m almost 12 weeks and I am trying to come to terms with the possibility that this little one is a boy. Due to circumstances I grew up surrounded around women – my sister and mom, girlfriends – so I’m not as accustomed to men.
What I have been thinking is that little boys are really fun. They usually really love their moms, and if they are the first born then they may be a really great older brother, a protector of the other sibling(s). I just held a 7 month old little boy and he really helped to convince me of their adorableness. Also, my husband is an unusually sensitive, smart and thoughtful man – so I know that if we have a boy he will have a really good influence.

We’d love to have a boy! We have two girls, so we’re hoping for a boy next! It will be OK though, I understand that it can be emotional. Just you wait though, the closer you get to the baby being born, the more you will find that it won’t matter!
