- Wedding: August 2013
I want to start by saying that basically everything that could go wrong did go wrong BUT it was still an amazing day!
So the day before the wedding started off with me calling to double check where the flowers were being delivered only to find out that my aunt never ordered the flowers. AFTER about a hour of crying and calling around to figure out what I was going to do.
Word of what happened got to my other Aunt who is AMAZING called me and told me not to worry she would take care of everything for me!
Maid of Honor told me she would keep me busy (so I didn’t start over thinking things) So we went and got our nails done together then I went with her to sign the lease on her new apartment and clean the carpets. We thought the carpets would take an hour or two tops BUT 4 hours later we were FINALLY done.
This put us WAY behind schedule and we still had to drive over an hour to pick up one of the bridesmaids. We FINALLY got to the bridesmaid’s place at around midnight. We picked her up and then ran to the store for a few of the things we needed before the hour drive back.
We finally got back to my Maid of Honors apartment shortly after 1am then we had to put our hair in curlers (the only way my hair will even semi hold a curl) we went over the timeline and talked and did all of that until we fell asleep.
(Notice the bridesmaid in the back eating MY BURRITO)
About 2 ½ hours later it was time to wake up and I was exhausted. We packed everything in the cars and made our way to the venue about 20 minutes late at this point.
We walk in and the venue didn’t have the bridal room ready, so we piled up all our stuff and went upstairs for breakfast.
(This is our silly faces picture we took)
I couldn’t eat anything I could only eat about 3 bites of food because I was so nervous. But my tea did make my stomach feel a bit better.
We went downstairs and started getting ready. Being behind schedule really screwed us up but luckily I had AMAZING family who picked up the slack and helped get everything done.
We did a quick run through of the ceremony (no rehearsal dinner thanks to a last minute change with the venue)
and then my daddy showed up
We kicked him out of the room to get dressed my dress was kinda not so fun to get into…
It being right before that time of the month my chest was bigger than my last fitting so the bust was too small and because I lost more weight the stomach and hips were a bit too big.
BUT I got these amazing pictures with my daughters
While we were finishing getting ready the guys were playing around on the golf carts.
Finally it was time for our first look!
And then our daughters joined in!
This is getting REALLY long so before I screw up and erase all of this I am going to submit this and do the rest on this post!
