I was going to have a maid and a matron, but decided to just have a matron of honor. It's not uncommon to have two, though.
I was the maid of honor in a wedding last year and she had a Matron of honor (her sister) It was beautiful. Her sister wore red with a black sash and i wore black with a red sash and the BM wore all black!
I'm having 2! These are 2 girls that I grew up with and the 3 of us were attached at the hip... you did not see 1 of us without the other 2. When I sat down and thought about it I really just could not choose one over the other, so I picked both!! I know it might seem a bit odd, but it's really what I want... and in the grand scheme of things is anyone going to really care that I have 2 MOHs?
I think it's totally fine! My FI is in a wedding where he is one of three "best men".
I have 2 sisters also and I'm having both be maid of honor (both are not married). I would rather have both than have had to pick between the two of them as we are all close. Plus they get to share the MOH responsibilities, etc. They will probably make a toast together at the wedding.
i'm having two--a matron and a maid. i wanted them both and i decided to just go with it. FI is having two best men as well. a few people think it's weird probably but whatever...it's our wedding.
I'm having my sister as matron of honor and my best friend as maid of honor :).
I have 2 sisters)one is married) also and they are maid and matron of honor. People do it all the time!
One of my friends recently got married and she had three Maids of Honor! They referred to themselves as the "MOH Team" and it was really cute. They got along well.
Do it! I had the same dilemma with my 2 sisters. I didn't want to choose, so I made them both MOH. One held my dog, the other stood next to me and held my bouquet.
I had two Maids of Honor, and my husband had two Best Men. We also had 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomemen. It worked out really well.
I'm having my two sister share the role of MOH. There was no way I was going to pick between the two of them, and as someone else mentioned above, they will share the responsibilities. They think it's great!
Yep, I'm having two MOH's and no other bridesmaids. I couldn't pick between my 2 closest girlfriends, so I decided I shouldn't have to. The tough part... they have a hot/cold relationship and are shaped 100% completely different. However, they did agree on the same dress... so phew!! ;)
I say.. it's your wedding - do what you want!!
My friend couldn't decide, so she gave us all names like "Maid of Creativity" or "Maid of Laughter" that she had printed onto ribbon to tie the bouquets with. It was supercute and made us all feel special
I have two MOHs, both friends of mine. One will be getting married a few months before I do so technically there is a Maid and Matron I suppose. I had a hard time finally making the decision because I also have a sister who is a bridesmaid. She told me she didn't really want to be MOH because "she would have to do stuff" (she's 14 years old). I did feel a little weird not picking her but as I'm getting closer to the wedding I'm happy I went with both my girlfriends. You get 2 people to help you with things and keep you sane!

I have 2 sisters that I'm close to and for my sister's wedding (who is getting married 2 months after me!), she's having us both carry that responsibility (me as Matron of Honor and my sister as Maid of Honor). Does anyone have 2 Maids of Honor?
