I like the idea of classy jazz. I'm not sure I get "beach chic" out of the other one.
We are doing beach chic music for our prelude to the ceremony wedding in the dominican we will be doing Jazz during dinner out door evening reception. During cocktail hour we will be having a mariachi band.
I've been to a wedding where the music played during dinner made me want to be dancing instead... just be careful of that whichever you decide

Hello everyone! We are debating on what kind of music to have on our playlist for the cocktail/dinner hour... We are getting married on the Puget Sound (in WA) at a lighthouse and have a reception in a beautiful venue with huge windows overlooking the water. It is not a particularly formal affair, but will be very romantic and classy with a taste of eccentric. the debate is between "beach chic"~ Jack Johnson, Matt Costa, Brett Dennen, Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Bob Marley, etc or "classy jazz"~ Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, etc.
What do you think???!!!
