I like your idea of having song ideas for every day of the week.
There's a Paul Simon song, 'Fathers and Daughters', that I always liked. I'm having a dinner-only reception, no dancing though, so I don't get to use it. I would have found a clip but my computer here has no sound and I couldn't be sure I was sharing the right song!
This song is different, but means something to me.
I used "I Love" by Tom T Hall. It is a very old country western song that my dad used to sing to my sister and I. Here is where you can listen on You Tube. The "video" is silly, but the lyrics tug at my heartstrings.
<font size="2" color="#81a026">mklove</font> that's perfect since your dad used to sing it to you! I would love to have a song that's special to me like this one.
"I Loved Her First" is definately perfect for a father/bride dance. One of my friends danced with her dad to this...talk about a cry-fest. I think it took about 5 of us to keep her mom from collapsing with emotion during the dance. :)
These are some great ideas! I think these threads will be useful for the Hive....off to post a cake cutting song now!

Since I hear about a lot of brides struggling with music ideas I thought it might be helpful, and fun, to have a Song Idea of the Day each weekday.
Today let's feature a Father / Daughter song since that's a popular question.
This one's a little bit country, and very sweet.
