There are a ton of threads on her regarding that subject. My best advice, if you are hiring a seasoned pro, is to keep your list short and to the point. Make a list of must have groupings for portraits. Remember to allow at least 3-5 min for each group and list anything that is super important to you like things you handmade or a broach your grandmother gave you, etc. If your photog is looking at a list all day they are going to miss the moments that are happening around them. Make sure to hire someone that shoots weddings using the poses and images you want captured.
