Hello ladies!  I am now addicted to the wealth of information and support that is the weddingbee boards.  My newest query involves an issue that I'm sure a lot of you have been dealing with...

    1. I am tall. (5'9 1/2") FI is only a little bit taller than me (6'0)
    2. I heart high heels, and usually, this is just fine, FI doesn't mind playing Tom to my (insert tall wife's name here).  However, for our wedding day, he'd rather not play tom thumb to my jolly green giant.
    3. So, that leaves me with flats, right? Except, I have a big ballgown, and I trip on the petticoats inside when I've tried wearing flats.  As well, we're doing a rather intense choreographed first dance, and a little heel (less than 2") would help with the spins.
    4. I want light pink or light blue shoes, closed toe (I'm wearing stockings and garters), and a closed heel as well.
    5. And I need them for January's fitting (so waiting for the prom shoes to come out won't cut it).
    6. I don't want to spend more than $150.

    Any suggestions? Please? Pretty please?

Here are some of the sites I've been looking at for my shoes. (I'm going to have my gown hemmed with me in my flat feet. (I have back problems) so I'll wear heels for the ceremony only and then wear something flat for the rest of the evening.  But this site seems to be the one I like best so far http://www.bellissimabridalshoes.com This is the "Touch-Ups Roslyn Bridal Shoe" And all of these can be dyed.must I go barefoot with my ballgown? : wedding shoes tall bride height difference 009254 Touch-Ups Roslyn Bridal Shoes

I'm not sure if they can be found for under $150 anymore (I purchased mine last year during an online sample sale for $115), but my Shannon Britt shoes were utterly perfect. Mine where blue satin w/gold and they also make ivory.

Unlike most flats, these had great support, a perfect dancing surface and a 1/2" heel that didn't catch on my huge dress.

Sorry I can't be of more help... as a tall gal (6'1) I completely understand the difficulty you're having.

i feel you on the tall situation! i'm 5'10", and my fiance is 5'8", so i'll be wearing flats, simply because i don't want to make him feel bad in our wedding pictures. :)

i'm a fan of these, from zappos... the heel is 2.5 inches though... but they're so cute! :)

i like the style of these, but they're metallic, so not sure how well that would work...

these are like the ones nashgirl posted, but without the trim.

So I ran across shoes like I descibed above in light pink at PiperLime, along with this fuschia pair.

I also love Delman's... this pair comes in pink/turq ... and if you're up for metallic pink, there's these cute Kate Spade shoes

It's hard finding pastels right now since jewel tones are everywhere for the season... but good luck!

Just a note, you can probably get rid of the "tripping over petticoats" thing with a hoop skirt. It keeps the layers away from your feet while you're walking. Helped me a lot!
