Snice getting engaged, I’ve been trying to be a little healthier in my lifestyle. I’m not trying to lose weight specifically, but if I do, great! So far, I’ve done a pretty good job, drinking more water and less soda, bringing lunch and not buying it as much, but today my managers at work seem to want to tempt me.
The manager of my department decided it was a good day to bring Timbits into the office. Okay, I don’t go into his area too much, so I should be okay, even though I have a completely unobstructed view from where I am. Just don’t look.
He leaves for the day, and my supervisor decides she doesn’t want them in there since she’s a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a few months and just got her dress, so she puts them RIGHT BESIDE ME. Also, it’s a short shift today, so I don’t have a lunch break, and I’m starting to get hungry.
MUST YOU TEMPT ME WITH SUGARY GOODNESS!
(Side note: I’m not really mad, it’s actually my favourite supervisor, I’ve even said shes teying to tempt me to her face lol)

@pocketfox: Haha, sounds like my office! Someone is always bringing in dessert or some other unhealthy treat to share. I feel your pain.
Oh, and I had to google what Timbits were. What cute name!

Sounds like the school I work at! We are always having treats or celebrating someone’s birthday or doing something like that!

@pocketfox: ugh I know how you feel. It seems like we have treats at least once a week in my office! Very sweet of my co workers but not so sweet for my waist. I try to avoid the kitchen if I know they are there but sometimes I forget and go get water. Once I’m standing next to the treats I have absolutely no self control!
I had to Google timbits too! If those were placed next to me I probably would have finished them off!

@pocketfox: One reason I am glad I’m not in Michigan. Tim Hortons. People are always bring them for something and they are very hard to say no too lol

@pocketfox: BAH! I feel you sister! Stinking timbits get me every time! my new work is better for the amount of treats brought in than my old office… used to be almost every day! But still, my boss brings them to every meeting and he tries to host one once a week… oh poor poor waistline!

@pocketfox: LOL This reminds me of when I used to go to Weight Watcher meetings. Women were FOREVER complaining about people having birthday cake at work. But me & my coworker always won…. our office had this Social Team thing where everyone puts in like $10 a year and you get your birthday celebrated but also they had random “social” days. One day it was Ice Cream Social- and literally every break room had 20+ gallons of ice cream with tons of toppings. Another time it was Pie Day and there were stacks and stacks of pie boxes everywhere. I swear there were enough for everyone to have at least half a pie! It was insane working there and trying to be healthy.

Every time one of my student’s has a birthday and gives me a cupcake, I make sure I raffle it off.. those cupcakes or Dunkin’ Donuts get tempting!
