- Wedding: October 2013
I was so nervous about the weather, but it was beautiful out! It was like 76 in October, basically unheard of in Minnesota! The wind was awful though, which made it kind of tough to get pictures. There were defintely some hicups. My make up had to be fixed (I recommend getting a make up trail, I didn’t and I basically looked like I had black eyes. Thankfully my cousin came to the rescue and fixed it!). The limo called at 4:59 saying they weren’t going to make it because the limo broke down, when they were suppose to be there at 5. & the church we got married at had an AMAZING old school house we were going to take pictures in and the pastor locked it when she left not realizing we hadn’t taken pictures yet.
My number one advice to you ladies is to not expect the day to be perfect, because it won’t be. No matter how far in advance you plan, if you have a wedding planner, or your super women, SOMETHING will come up. I know it’s cliche’, but the most important thing is that your getting married to the love of your life. That’s whats going to matter at the end of the day.
I’ll try and stick to mostly details, I spent a lot of time on DIY, and I do think it was worth it!
My cousin fixing my make up!
Lacing up the dress!
Exchanging gifts before the ceremony without seeing each other!
Ceremony program hubby designed!
The cutest little ring bearer ever!!
Our unity ceremony!
Our tall centerpieces. The gourmet popcorn buffet was the favor!
Head table decor, that kind of burned a little bit.
Our escort cards!
Us playing the shoe game!
& I’m just realizing that theres no shot of the popcorn buffet! 🙁 Hopefully someone got some!!
After all the hicups, our day really was perfect! All of our family and friends made our day really special. I’m married to my best friend and thats all really matters!
