Hi Ladies, I’m just doing a little bragging and wanted to share my awesome thrift store find! I was at goodwill the other day, looking around for stuff to use for the wedding, and I just sawthis dress hanging on the rack. It caught my eye, I wasn’t looking for clothing at all!
The neckline was a little weird, as you can see in the picture below. So I took it to a local seamstress I always use, and she only charged me 15 dollars to fix the neckline. Let me know what you think! Sorry the pictures are kind of crappy, the lighting in my bedroom sucks and the flash kind makes the dress weirdly shiny, which it is not.

Aw thanks ladies! I’ve spent some time drooling over the pretty lace cocktail dresses, but the prices are always more than I’m comfortable spending. I can probably even wear it on my honeymoon :-). Now to find a wedding dress, haha!

It’s really cute! I probably wouldn’t wear it for the rehearsal dinner though – that is SHORT and tight! (And I’m usually not too afraid of showing off my legs usually.) Maybe better for a bachelorette partY? Just food for thought.

Now that you altered the neckline, that dress is rockin’ 😀 what a great find, you look totally awesome!

I think it is a great dress, but more suited for a night out at a club than your rehearsal dinner.

It is tight. But I’m still packing on a few winter lbs, so maybe I’ll reevaluate when I’m in better shape. May not really need a dress for the rehearsal anyways, as we’re probably going to keep it pretty casual. Thanks for the input!

@pokey730: Are you going to put in a panel or something so that the tummy isnt see through? I would feel really awkward going to a wedding rehearsal and seeing half of the brides body.

It is cute but way to short for my taste, as pp said rather to tight. Looks like a clubbing dress than something for a rehersal dress

@allyfally: The body isn’t see through, just the upper back and sleeves. As I’ve said I wouldn’t likely wear it for the rehearsal anyways, as we don’t plan it to be a dress worthy event. Thanks for the input.
