Yep! My proposal came on Christmas Eve 2008. We celebrated yesterday by buying my wedding band.
My friend just got engaged last night, so Christmas Eve not Christmas day.
ABSOLUTELY!! Christmas is my absolute, hands down, go crazy, buy lots of presents favourite time of year!! So, last year, the wonderful man that he is, got down on one knee in front of the christmas tree and proposed to me while opening our christmas presents. I was so surprised... and he even managed to set up a camera on a self-timer to take a picture, and had a song playing from the first time we went out together 11 years ago :) so perfect! today we have been reminiscing about it! I love it! And this year again, he surprised me with a swarovski tiara that I have fallen IN LOVE with at the szarovski store for the wedding, but was way out of our wedding budget... so he TOTALLY surprised me with it for Christmas today :) PERFECT in every way :)
awww christmas engagements... mine was a july 4th engagement and an almost christmasey wedding. LOVE chrisstmastime
@Cecullation: Congratulations!!! I love that he had a camera timed and ready - what a guy!!?!?! You'll never forget this Christmas and now it will always be an EXTRA special day for the two of you :)

As I sit here and read about all the excited ladies in waiting on the boards, I can't help but remember this fantastic day, 3 years ago! I can't believe it's been that long ago since my DH surprised me and knocked my socks off with his romantic, Christmas day proposal
