@leenh78:  I kind of did. I turned 35 in March and I was like, oh crap, I’m no longer a babe. I’m in my mid 30’s! Honestly, those feelings came and went for me. I am happy to have made it this far! You’ll be ok. Hang in there and be kind to yourself.

@leenh78:  I totally understand. I will be 36 in 3 weeks and I’m freaking out because 40 is getting too close for my liking. After turning 35 I decided to make an extra effort at the gym because I’m going to have my best body yet.

Nope! You are in your prime honey. Try turning fifty – which I will be doing a week from today.

I turned 35 in March (birth month twin: @LilRhodyGem:  ) and it hit me hard. I bought myself a pretty ring that I had been eyeing for months. After all, I’m in a good place and I’m doing really well, so I should celebrate, right? That’s what I tried to tell myself, but yeah…it was a rough birthday.

I’ll be 35 in 6 months. Yes, I’m going to really start feeling old considering technically, I’ll be closer to 40.

Grr!

I just turned 33 a couple of weeks ago. It’s a little younger than you asked for, but I’m feeling a lot of anxiety about it. I have been unemployed for over 3 years now due to various choices and circumstances. I’ve lost a marriage. There are no children when I wanted a house full. I’m starting over again with school. It’s all weighing heavily on my heart and terrifying me. I’m hoping that my life will have some direction again by the time I’m 35.

ETA: DH wanted me to add he’s 50 and dealing with many of the same anxieties minus the failed marriage behind him. When he turned 40, he had a really bad time of it. He had just gotten out of a relationship and felt hopeless about ever having a family. Now, here we are. He reminds me that life will always have its anxieties, but it will also have its joys. Happy birthday to all of us 🙂

Ill be 35 in December and I’m so not looking forward to it. I’m not where I want to be life, especially health wise (two chronic illnesses), and I feel like I’m going downhill. Its difficult when I can’t even imagine how things will be in a few years.

he loves birthdays and celebrating and doesn’t understand why i don’t want to celebrate mine.

a friend asked me as well what i was doing for my birthday.  i told her I was having a wedding this year, i don’t need a birthday also.

@leenh78:  Nope. I’ll be 40 very soon and age doesn’t bother me at all. I’ve got one child out of the house, one in college and one pre-teen and I feel damn good about it

Definitely embrace it!  I’m 35 going on 36 this December and the first thing I thought of when I tried on a wedding dress….holy nutz I am too young to get married.  Then I shook myself back into reality and realized I’m a lot older than I feel and act.  I look forward to every birthday and for my 35th birthday, well I can’t recall exactly what I did but I’m sure I had fun.  HA! Ok maybe my memory is starting to fail me…but bring it on!  Now if we can just get this wedding underway, we can try for kids afterall, I am getting old Wink
