I’m glad you had such a great experience with DB. While i didnt get my dress from there it was the first place i went to try on dresses. I loved quite a few of them too and had great service! I went on a weekday night, i think like a tuesday right around 6 and there was only one other girl in there trying on gowns.

I also had a great experience with DB. I was nervous because there were SOOOO MANY negative reviews online but like @Miss Sardine:  said people only tend to write negative reviews. I’m glad everything worked out great for you!

Another tip – avoid them like the plague around high school dance seasons! Homecoming is in September, Winter formal in February and Prom usually May or June! They are packed with teenagers and their friends/moms/etc.

I had a great experience there, too. My consultant was very helpful and I never felt pressured.

I had a great experience with them this weekend when I got my wedding dress! It’s crowded, for sure. But I am happy so far so here’s hoping the rest of the experience goes just as smoothly!

I think your tips are very true! My Mother & I went on a weekday..we got there at 4pm & had our consultant all to ourselves til the last 30 min (which doesn’t bother me..I’m not a Bridezilla..lol). I will say this to all the ppl writing negative reviews about DB…you really need to think about what you are looking for when you go dress shopping. You either want a pretty dress with a good price & not have someone helping you with every little thing OR you can go somewhere w/ pretty dresses(prob expensive) & have champagne served to you & everything else (which is fine, but not my style)! I got my dress that was originally $399 for $148! So w/ my dress…a corset bra..veil..2 tiered slip & wedding gown preservation kit the total was $420 & that was including the dress! That is freaking amazing! Very happy w/ DB! Also very happy that we get to come back & get discounts off of my Mom’s dress, Jr MOH’s dress, & Flower Girl (small wedding party)! We also get discounts off the tuxedos for the Men in the wedding party from the Men’s Wearhouse! They also gave us more coupons to other places in a goody bag. I am taking my dress to the DB Alterations in a couple of months to get the straps on my dress shortened just a half inch. I have heard horror stories about DB’s Alterations Dept, but I ma hoping to have a good experience there as well!

I didn’t have a great experience at DB and didn’t like my consultant – however, definitely go on a weeknight! I went on a weeknight and they were basically empty. There were some other people there, but it wasn’t even clear what they were there for. I was the only one walking around in wedding gowns – actually got a bit awkward for a moment when I went tramping through the store in a huge ballgown by VW and literally there were people in there looking at me like, what are you doing!? Hellooo we’re in a bridal salon!

I had an awesome experience there as well. I had been to DB 4 times before and I had 3 different consultants! The last time I went in was on a Monday night (perfect!) and I had the girl I did twice before. When I came in, the first thing she said, was “Hi Meredith, I was wondering what happend to you!” lol, it was quite hilarious!

It was a wonderful experience. The only other girl there was getting alterations…perfect.
