@MusicBee76:  Sad news for you. Growth spurts aren’t over- he is destined to continue to get bigger.

Although growth spurts can happen at any time, typically they occur again at 3, 6 and 9 months, after the initial newborn growth spurts.

If it is growth spurt related, the change in sleep pattern is only temporary.

We are still battling the 9 month sleep regression… and she is 10 months old.  I really, really hope she figures this shit out soon.  We are TIRED.

@MusicBee76:  I think it will…. eventually.  Every time there is a big developmental leap there is usually at least some regression with sleep.  They say misery loves company, so I suppose there is some solace in the fact that I’m not the only mother who is pretty sure there is no sleep ever happening in our household again haha.

“They” say it gets better… whoever “they” are!

Our DD slept 8-8 for the first 4 months with one feed at 4am. Them she started waking two-six times a night. She is now 25 months and still wakes once a night but this is a vast improvement from an average 4 times until 24 months. Sometimes it’s growth spurts, sometimes teeth, but the fact is, babies aren’t meant to sleep through the night. Whatever people say about “My boy was sleeping through by nine weeks” well whoopeedoo but they’ve done studies on kids from birth to four years old and there is no set sleep pattern for any child. Have a look at Dr Sears website for some ideas that are more baby friendly than the norm, you may find something that helps but you may be in for the long haul and just have a baby that wakes a couple of times.

@Pixienickie:  hahahaha LMAO I thought the same thing!

But I’m sorry to say OP, regression will continue into childhood in spurts. My daughter always regresses when she has a growth spurt then shes over it on her own time. She’s 5 now, hopefully that stage will end some time soon.

Oh wow. I’m dumb. I THOUGHT IT SAID WALKING…through the entire first paragraph.

I was about to congratulate you for having such a gifted child.
