I think it’s really nice, and I love the feathers! The only thing I would change (if it were me) would be to pull it a little further away from your head. Maybe that’s volume? I looks like the veiling is almost resting on your hair.

l think yours covers more of your face than your inspiratoon  pics.  The inspiration pics have the angle cross mich hoghernon the nose.  l think that may pull it up some so that it can flare out a bit more – and that may add a bit of volume as well.

zamorski:  Maybe if you poofed it up a bit like in the third picture? That’s what I was thinking. An then like what fascinated said. See how it looks with the bottom a little higher on your face. I envy that you have the skills to make your own!

zamorski:  I would make it a little shorter and it needs to be bunched more at the base. I’ve made fascinators before, and gathering the netting better at the base will give it more volume.

zamorski:  I’m not sure what you mean by “from three sides”. How have you attached the netting to the base? I would remove it from the feathered part and start over (Based on how it looks). The more you gather it as you attach it, the more volume you’ll get.  You kind of fold the netting back over itself as you secure it.

I made one… actually I made a few in different sizes just for different amounts of face coverage… When I made mine, I used a pattern like the photo I’m attaching… I gathered the long bottom edge and attached that to the comb.  I think if you want more volume to it, you just make it longer… The netting is pretty cheap, so play around and make a few until you get the one you want.

My first thought was it’s too long–ie covering a little to much of your face. That can be solved either by adding volume or trimming it a hair. It looks great, btw!

I agree with the volume comments, but it’s also a bit long.  I want more of an angle for mine.

Agree with fascinated. It looks a bit long on your face, the other pics show it cutting across closer to the eye.

neat that you made it! I wish I were that skilled
