Weddingbee boards

Okay. I am officially freaking out.  My birthday is in two days.  It's the big one (29).  Well big for me, it's the end of an era, I am now officially a grown up and looking towards doing the "mature" thing that we do in our 30s.  I wrote M an email and let him know the type of cake I love (Berry Chantilly from Whole Foods, YUMMY).  And I teasingly wrote what I'd want on the cake: Happy Birthday Brittiny.  But I also wrote orrr you could say WILL YOU MARRY ME. And sent him the rings I've been coveting lately (blue topaz matches his eyes).  Thing is he said I should let him surprise me for my birthday.  What does that mean?!  I am one that believes that surprises can either be overwhelming or underwhelming so I hate expecting anything (other than that cake ).  We are also in the process of moving into our condo right now which makes me think he hasn't had enough time to look for the ring, purchase it, receive it, etc.  I am ready for the waiting to be OVER!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOCTORS GIRL!! I am scared to be prepared.  I am sure the look on my face will say everything if I don't get the gorgeous blue topaz beauty I have been salivatin over.  I feel like the dude from Lord of the Rings: My precious.....

Okay and another vent is everyone in his family keeps asking when are we getting married, but they only ask me not him.  DUDE that's insane!! My family has pretty much left me alone. I am thrice engaged and I am pretty sure they look at me as a lost cause LMBO.  Most of the women in my family have been married by 25.  Sigh. Okay I suppose the vent is over and I can get back to my normal anal wedding-obssessed self.  Thank goodness I own an event design company!! No one thinks it's weird that I look at wedding related things ALL DAY!!

We moved into our new place until like 5 am and then he headed straight to work (no sleep).  I seriously doubt if he pops the question.  The only thing I expect is my cake.  We have three kids together (he's a single dad of two and I am a single mom of one).  They memorized the cake that I wanted.  His daughter (oldest by two months) says Whole Foods, my son (middle child): berry chantilly (or sometimes kerry barilly depending on his memory), and the youngest (his son) says the words I want written on it: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITTINY.  It's the cutest thing ever.  I seriously expect to spend tomorrow knee deep in boxes.  We may just order pizza and unpack and giggle with the little ones.

Yes!! I would be very happy with that one.  Now, let's hope he doesn't forget the cake!! Lol!!!  My birthday is tomorrow though, so we will see what it brings.

I am pretty sure today isn't it.  Whew!! No more anticipation!  M has gotten no sleep since we've been moving and is exhausted so I am pretty sure today will be low key with me and the kids and pizza and unpacking.  If only the cable company could have made it here to install my cable.  C'est la vie.

@sweetheartdealer today's my birthday!!! I am having a good day actually.  the kids serenaded me with happy birthday before I woke up which was awesome!

@bellenga LOL! I read that you were married in Memphis, are you from there?  I am too.  I haven't gotten an engagement ring for my birthday either.  I don't know where he is right now he got off work an hour and a half ago.  I suppose he's stuck in traffic.  It's AWFUL coming from here.  I demand you get a bday redo too!!!!  I have loosely been unpacking but the condo people have been here working and we have no curtain rods so I will postpone unpacking until tomorrow when I can actually hang my clothes up

Day is awesome.  He went to get the cake and they were sold out LOL!!! He ordered it for tomorrow.  He also bought a bottle of Moet Rose (my FAVORITE) champagne.  But he wants to wait until tomorrow to drink it.  So no proposal for me tonight lol.... it was just a great hope. lol....

@teaparty: well, truth be told if we hadn't been moving all week i would have been waaayyy more focussed on it.  now it's just kind of like okay oh well... besides i couldn't possibly see how he would have had the time to buy the ring i wanted without me knowing.
