I am so sorry. I agree I wouldnt want to call in sick. Despite how true it is, it will leave a bad impression with the boss. I would do everything you can to make it through the shift. Take tylenol flu, treat thera-flu and eat pepto tablets like its your job!

If you are really sickl, they will see it and probably send you home. Its better to be sent home so they can see you are sick, then to call in on your second shift ever at this new job.

I went through this as well when I first started my job back in February.  I had a fever, the chills, etc.  I knew that I didn’t feel good and managed to get myself up for work anyways.  I was sent home 1.5 hours later and the director told me to call out for the next day if I got any worse.  So, seeing it is more believable than skipping out.  Good luck and I hope you feel better.

I know it may sound weird but take 2 non drowsy Dramamine an hour before your shift. Preferably just after throwing up so they are more likely to stay down. This works for me every time. It seems to combat overall nausea and not just motion sickness. Pepto bismol does nothing for me! No flu product has helped my nausea. But Dramamine has gotten me through many a stomach virus. I hope it works for you too!

i’m sorry your not feeling well, I had a cold last week and now my ear is killing me so I know how crappy you must be feeling. Since you just started all you can do is take medicine and go to work. Once they see your sick they should send you home. Feel better soon ๐Ÿ™‚ another thing that work is peppermint if you can get some hard peppermint candy to suck on that would be good I always keep some around just incase

Did you try the Dramamine? And they suck for making you stay! ๐Ÿ™
