    Our venue has blessed us with a gorgeous, vintage powder room for the ladies.   With a huge antique vanity that is to die for.  I am playing it up by using these gold frames (that I got at Goodwill for $1 each!) and putting our grandmothers and mothers bridal portraits in them.  (will take pictures when I have the porject completed too!)

    I plan to have a small tent card in front of each photo to indicate who's who.

    How should that tent card be written?  This is what I'm thinking:

    First Middle (Maiden) Last

    Wedding Date

    Relation to bride/groom

    So it would look like:

    Reina Virginia (DelLongo) Marino

    December 17, 1947

    Maternal Grandmother of the Bride

    Does this make sense?  Would you know that Decemeber 17, 1947 was the wedding date or would you think it was her birth date?   Should I say "Married December 17, 1947?:

    Reina Virginia (DelLongo) Marino

    Married December 17, 1947

    Maternal Grandmother of the Bride

    I love your idea!  I think if you put their name, date and relationship to you, that is fine.  Alternatively, you could put Mary Smith Jones, married May 17 1947 to John James Jones, maternal grandmother of the bride.

    @sceeder:  That's because you're a smarty pants!

    @Georgia Bee:  Thanks!   I just placed my photo order--excited to pick them up later.   I am choosing to leave their grooms out of it, because FMIL is divorced and it's a touchy subject.   Blahhh

    I like how Georgia bee worded it.  I like the idea of honoring the husband as well and letting it be clear that its a wedding date.
