I actually was going to drop doing bathroom baskets (I wasn’t sure I would have the time, money, or patience to get them done) … when I mentioned it my bridesmaids took it over, which was awesome – so maybe if you have stuff that you want done (like bathroom baskets) that are nice to have but aren’t super expensive, and that the feeling of the wedding isn’t depending on, you could delegate stuff like that?

It depends on what type of wedding your gonne have and what it will entail. I would suggest coming up with a list of items that are still pending and unfortunately you can’t get to at this time due to you residing here. Once you create this list, you can decide what needs to be done in Montana Vs what you can do from here; and delegate duties based on this???

I asked one of my bridesmaids to put together an ipod playlist for our rehearsal dinner — it was a small thing, but it felt nice to get it off of my plate.  And I think she liked having a way to help. You might ask her to brainstorm “must play” dance songs that would get the crowd moving at the reception.

My bridesmaids are all in different states than me too, so I have the same problem.  A couple of ideas I’ve had:

– Making/starting an info sheet for guests, ie directions, weekend schedule, list of where to find local necessities

– Emergency kit for the bridal/bridesmaid dressing room (safety pins, chalk for covering dress stains, snacks, etc

Can’t think of much else because I have a lot of trouble delegating anything relating to my wedding – I want to do it all myself because I know it will get done right 🙂
